Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hometown Workforce website, mobile applications, and related services (together, the "Service"), operated by Hometown Workforce LLC, 2519 Provence Pl, Biloxi, MS 39531 ("Hometown Workforce", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. What the Service is
Hometown Workforce connects homeowners with independent local service professionals ("Contractors") and provides tools for Contractors to run their business — helping them describe, estimate, schedule, and coordinate work. Contractors are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Hometown Workforce LLC. Any service agreement for home work is formed directly between the homeowner and the Contractor.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old. You are responsible for your account credentials and for the accuracy of the information you provide. You may use parts of the app without an account; data created on your device is migrated to your account when you sign up.
3. Subscriptions and billing
- Paid plans are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play as auto-renewing subscriptions.
- Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, through your store account settings.
- Prices are shown in the app before purchase. Trials, when offered, convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
- Refunds are handled by the respective store under its policies.
4. Estimates
Estimates, plans, and suggested messages are assistance tools, not binding quotes or professional advice. Final pricing, scope, and scheduling must be confirmed between homeowner and Contractor.
5. User content
You retain ownership of the photos, posts, reviews, and messages you submit, and grant Hometown Workforce LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display that content as needed to operate the Service. You must have the right to share what you post. We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Community Guidelines, and may suspend accounts for repeated or serious violations.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service — including no unlawful activity, harassment, spam, scraping, reverse engineering, circumventing fees, or misrepresenting your identity, licensing, or insurance status.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Hometown Workforce LLC does not guarantee the quality, safety, legality, or licensing of Contractors or of work performed, and is not a party to agreements between homeowners and Contractors. Verify credentials and insurance where your project requires them.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hometown Workforce LLC's total liability arising out of the Service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes between homeowners and Contractors.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time (Settings, or account deletion). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Mississippi, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
